I was there on Bregmans MLB debut because I had tracked his progress since draft day and hoped he would turn into a great player. He’s turned out to be much more than that, as you noted. His notorious slow starts are bothersome and may not age well, but there’s no denying his offense is tailored for MMP better than other parks and his leadership will be difficult to replace. I hope Crane doesn’t break his 5 year deal rule but they’ve got to come to terms to keep him, somehow

1. Tucker isn't a free agent until after the 2025 season. So he may get one next year.

2. McCullers isn't a free agent until after the 2026 season. He signed a contract extension before the 2021 season and thus was never a free agent.

3. On Verlander. Harder to do this with starting pitchers. Though Verlander got a huge hand when pulled from his last home start this season.

You're right. Guess it just tirorked me bc it seemed like they were sending a message he wouldn't be re-signed. I didn't look up all the contract expirations. I deleted my comment.
